Parakeet Financial Inc, a Delaware corporation doing business as Parakeet Risk ("Parakeet Risk", "we", "us", or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through parakeetrisk.com and our related pages (the "Site"), through the Rosella platform (the "Platform"), and in our sales and support conversations, and how we use, share, and protect it.

By using the Site or the Platform you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or the Platform.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Demo and contact requests. When you book a demo or contact us, we collect your name, work email, company, role, company size, and the description you give us of what you want to see first.
• White paper downloads. When you unlock a white paper, we collect your name, work email, and company.
• Correspondence. If you email us or communicate with our team, we keep those messages.
• Platform accounts. If your company becomes a customer, we collect the account details needed to set up and administer your workspace, such as names, work emails, and roles.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data. Pages visited, links clicked, referring pages, and general device and browser information.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-FJXFR09P8V) to understand how the Site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data, device information, and approximate location derived from IP address. Google processes this data under its own privacy terms.
• Cookies. We use a small number of cookies. The analytics cookies above, plus one functional cookie (pk_wp_unlocked) that remembers for 60 days that you have unlocked a white paper so you do not have to fill the form again. We do not use advertising pixels or cross-site tracking cookies on the Site.
• Platform logs. When you use the Platform, we collect log data needed to operate and secure the service, such as sign-in events, feature usage, and error reports.

How we use information

• Respond to demo requests, questions, and support needs
• Deliver white papers and other content you request
• Operate, secure, and improve the Site and the Platform
• Understand aggregate usage so we can improve our content and product
• Send occasional product or company updates where permitted; you can opt out at any time
• Meet legal, security, and compliance obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How we share information

• Service providers. Companies that help us run the Site and the Platform, including Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and database infrastructure) and Google (analytics). They may process information only to provide their services to us.
• Professional advisors. Lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurers, where reasonably needed.
• Legal and safety. If we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Parakeet Risk, our customers, or others.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

Customer data on the Platform

When a customer uploads operational, supplier, contractor, or facility data to the Platform, the customer owns that data. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the customer agreement. Our security program is SOC 2 compliant and independently monitored through Vanta; our public Trust Center has details.

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as we have an ongoing business need: to respond to you, to provide the Platform, or to meet legal and compliance obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, including under US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, you may have the right to:

• Know and access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of)
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@parakeetrisk.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect how the Site works for you. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle, and our controls are audited under our SOC 2 program. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

The Site and the Platform are business tools. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

International visitors

We are based in the United States and process information there. If you visit from elsewhere, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States under US law.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be flagged more prominently where the law requires.
